Advanced Water Treatment Plants

Bowen Engineering Corporation worked with Nucor Skyline for their steel product needs at both the Belmont and Southport WWTP facilities in Indianapolis, IN. Nucor Skyline HP 14x117 piles were utilized in the construction to support the failing internal wall ties of the original structures so that the outer walls of the ONS tanks did not fail entirely.more

Mississippi River Lock and Dam

Nucor Skyline worked with J.F. Brennan Company on their design and submittal for several of the USACE Mississippi Lock and Dam projects. Nucor Skyline supplied a variety of NZ sheet pile sections, ranging from NZ 14 through NZ 38, as well as the walers and tie backs. The sheeting wall is a permanent structure used as an auxiliary lock bay closure structure that will take the place of an aging miter gate.more

The Lennox Island First Nation is building a new boat slip, Berlin Wall structure, and marginal boat pier with the help of Noye and Noye Limited. Nucor Skyline supplied the H-piles, sheet piles, and H-pile points needed for the project.more

I-10 Expansion

The I-10 freeway in the Greater Los Angeles area is expected to see up to 350,000 cars a day in the coming decades. SBCTA worked with Michael Baker to design a new, 11-mile stretch of high-volume, high-speed, multilane freeway for a new tolled Express Lane facility. Malcolm Drilling, the drilling contractor, looked to Nucor Skyline to manufacture the 11,000 permanent, DCP nails that were used for shoring walls required to hold back the soils and vegetation bordering the new lanes.more

Adams West Solar

The Energix Renewables 80 MW solar project, spread across 1,200 acres in Adams County, relies on over 740 tons of wide flange beams from Nucor Skyline. The beams, W8x13, W8x15, and W8x21 have all been fabricated and galvanized for the FTC Voyager 2P tracker system.more
